This is a tough one. Does this mean Song I like from a band I hate? Or I hate both song and band? I can't think of any. So suffice it to say, that there will be no song entry today.
I hate bands that says a lot of curses. heavy rock, metal rock, I never appreciated them.
Bato-bato sa langit ang tamaan wag magalit...lol.
AND I DEFINITELY WANT IT IN BLUE!!! lol.
I'm gonna forget for a moment about laptop because I think this will be a good substitute for me... and I'll shelve that DSLR I'm sooo dreaming about and will probably buy just the charger for my camera. BUT! If I do win jackpot, then I'll buy everything and still have money left!!!
I love The Corrs! I am no die-hard fan but I ultimately love the songs they play and the music they make. This quarter of siblings is simply amazing! Here's one of my favorite song: What Can I do?
Live. Love. Laugh.
So, what are you waiting for? Join us! What are the ten things you love? Do tell.
Happy Easter, Everyone!
I'd like to post a very memorable song. D, has previously post this in her blog challenge as well, except on a different date. You might want to see it here.
It was my first every night out, with my single bffs, A, D and M.. in the City of Waterfalls. My first night we ordered alcoholic drinks, except for A, of course and left the three of us tipsy... Bff K would surely have a fit. Lol.
We rode on a sikad to dunkin donuts, where the driver overcharged us, much to his disappointment, we were tipsy, yes, but we were all sane! lol. We had some hot choco or coffee fix while waiting for D's chauffer aka Tatay. (Hi! to Tatay and Nanay! *I'm sure they can still recall the time they fetch 4 gals who happened to graduate in college but acted as high schoolers*)
Everytime, I get to hear this song, it transports me back to that night. I miss the girls!!!
I'm single with no attachments yet I am so drawn at the lyrics of this song. I dedicate Plumb's In my Arms to my niece, Alliah Cristabelle "Ycey". She was born premature, we didn't take pictures when she was just a new born because we pity her physical condition. I got to bond with this li'l angel when she was just a few months old when she stayed with me. I mixed her milk and changed her diapers. Someday, if God will bless me, I'll have children of my own.
"Castles they might crumble
Dreams may not come true
But you are never all alone
Because I will always
Always love you"
In observance of holy week, I wanted to blog about something inspiring then I thought of an e-mail I got years before and wondered if cyberspace had it, true enough, searching via google, I got what I've been looking for.
I read it again and I could feel tears welling in my eyes. Too much watching drama contributed to this senti side of me. Anyway, here's the story (you might have come across it before):
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.
She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"
"You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."
He said..... "Then I thank you from my heart." As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Year's later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the nameof the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.
He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill.
She read these words.....
"Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed)
Dr. Howard Kelly
"As I lay me down to sleep
This I pray
That you will hold me dear
Though I'm far away
I'll whisper your name into the sky
And I will wake up happy"

As much as junk food is bad for one's health, it's one sinful food that I have a hard time staying away from. Two out of three food best paired with vinegar in in this category. I ♥ Jack 'n Jill Taquitos and Safari corn bits with vinegar. Weird, right? I just love how the salt blend in with the sourness of vinegar.
Ans what else is best with vinegar? Hilaw na Mangga *Green Mango* with Bagoong *Shrimp Paste*. Yum yum. Makes my mouth water. haha! Hilaw na mangga is already sour but with vinegar and a pinch of salt , its much better.
