three shots

I'd like to start a new feature on my blog and it will cater to my shot glass collection.

I'm still a newbie on this one. As of now I only have three, and all were given to me.

I wanted to start this collection so that when the time comes that I get to travel around the globe, each glass has a story to tell about the place and the experience I had there. However, as of this writing, the story behind each glass is a remembrance of the person who gave it to me :D

Shot Glass #1 Thailand. From Rhoy. He went to Thailand and as a souvenir, i asked him for this.

Shot Glass #2. Malaysia. From Rhoy. Another one from my dear cousin. heheh... Since he travels more than I do, I am positive that most of my collection will be from him :)

Shot glass #3. Singapore. From Arbing. She was supposed to be my buddy had I pushed through seeking job in Singapore. My pasalubong. She is also a fellow blogger and plurkie :D

I look forward to more of shot glasses in the future.

Hindi movies ❤❤❤

Okay. Okay. Okay. If its not obvious yet then I will say it myself, I AM NOW A FAN OF HINDI MOVIES!

The first Hindi movie i saw was Krrish. I was fascinated by it but it took My Name is Khan to awaken my love for this genre. What is amazing about Indian movies is that no matter how long the movie goes (almost 3 hours) you are still engrossed by the plot. Sometimes though, I ask myseld if its really necessary to include sing and dance number. heheh.

With this new found love, is my admiration for Aamir Khan. I'm still not over Lee Min-Ho (who is younger) but Aamir Khan (who is older) is just hot! hahaha! I just learned an interesting fact that he refused to have his wax model be included in the famous Madame Tussauds.

Anyway, AK stars in 3 Idiots. This is one comedy flick that I was glad I was able to watch.

Also, he is also in the film Taare Zameen Par (Stars on Earth) which has a tagline "Every Child is Special". This is one inspirational movie. Personally it has become a fave, together with Mr. Holland's Opus, Remember the Titans and more...

If you find yourself wanting to watch something new, keep these movies in mind. With the english subs, it is just like watching a korean novela. heheh. I now have another AK movie in line. *winks*

Before I end this entry, you might think I'm planning to flood on bollywood entries. That is just not the case, I just wanna spread the love. Who knows you just might love it too :D

not a terrorist

This is another overdue entry. I guess I'm making up for lost blogging time. If there is even such a thing. haha!

I finally got to watch this movie. I've been curious about this ever since I heard of it. It is one amazing movie and it goes to my must-watch films.

I liked how the director fused one's individual disability, love and family in a plot that talks about a very sensitive issue -- religion.

I guess I could totally relate with the movie, having grown in a muslim majority community. And when 9/11 struck, it really changed the world.

It is my contention that we don't really need to accept one's belief as our own and what we need is to just RESPECT our own individuality and uniqueness.

We do have some things in common. Why can't we just nourish that?

Anyway, my name is Bee and I am not a terrorist!

Although I have nothing against fashion its just that I put it too much effort being one and i fear I'd end up one heck of a trying hard. I admire fashion though and just play the fashionista part in my dreams!

When I get to have enough moolah to have as capitalization, I wanted to have my own business :)

Shift

This is one long overdue entry. I never intended to be on blogging hiatus but the circumstances decided to place me in this spot. I took another life changing step. I bid farewell to my Jetti family after more than 3 years tenure. It was a hard decision that I had to make. This decision was not because I was not happy about my job or I did have problems with my co-workers, but more of a personal thing that I cannot elaborate. I am unsure of the journey that I am to take but I carry with me the learning and experience I had with Jetti.

This is but a photo collage of the people I've come to know while I was there. A tribute to my Jetti family. Some came and went but still they are remembered. There were the bad times - the tears and the stress (but that's part of work) but more of the good times - laugh, travel, chow time, and bonding. Having a good time with people you work with is important and we seldom get to be in this point.

To my colleagues - thank you for welcoming "the wangkig me" in the family three years ago.

To my bosses - You all will always be remembered as great mentors!

To the Jetti heads - Thank you for the opportunity of work, of growth and of learning.
